Sign-on bonuses are available for Medical Assistants:

  • 0-1 years experience: $4,000 (full time)
  • 1+ years experience: $5,000 (full time)
  • Bonus prorated for Part time; per diem ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth members and former members with less than 6 months separation are ineligible.

Workwell, a dynamic, Occupational Health practice, is seeking a Medical Assistant who can “go with the flow”, multi-task, and fill in where needed. The position is mainly clinical: hair, urine and drug testing (certification required), and completing screenings (vision, hearing, lift capacity) before patients see providers. Phlebotomy experience is a definite plus!

This position is for the Biddeford office – travel to Sanford may be required on occasion for training or coverage.

Our offices are open 5 days per week, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, no weekends.

Summary: The Medical Assistant – Occupational Health role assists the physician/advanced practice practitioner in the care and treatment of patients, promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate from a two‑year accredited college in Medical Assisting or certification from the AAMA or AMT or NHA.
  • Licensing/Certifications: Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year as Medical Assistant in a medical office preferred; experience in Occupational Health practice preferred.
