Ahhmgt in Oakdale, LA is seeking a Medical Assistant for Oberlin Express Care. You will greet, instruct, and schedule patients, serve as liaison between patients and medical staff, and support the NP/Physician with assessments and treatments in the clinic.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification and/or CPR/BLS, one year of medical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and basic computer and word processing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: One year in a medical office preferred.
• Certifications: CMA preferred; BLS/CPR desirable.
• Knowledge: Medical terminology desirable.
• Proficiency: Word processing and basic computer skills.

Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Greets, instructs, directs and schedules patients and visitors. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff. Assists the Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician with assessments and treatments of patients visiting the clinic.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: One year work experience preferred, in a Medical office setting desired. Certified Medical Assistant strongly preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
Word processing and computer experience preferred.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certification: BLS/CPR
