Tfhd is seeking a Medical Assistant to assist physicians and mid-level practitioners in examining and treating patients, performing technical services within scope of practice, and supporting clinic operations. Duties include patient interviews, vital signs, room setup, instrument handling, and EMR documentation.
The role involves handling injections, basic lab tasks, patient education, scheduling, and front-desk support as time permits.
Rate of Pay: $30.08/hour + DOE (Base pay of $28.65 includes 5% temporary rate)
Assists the physician or mid-level practitioner in the examination and treatment of patients performing technical services within the scope of practice of the medical assistant.
Medical Assistants perform duties that support patient care and clinic operations. Assignments are based on clinic needs and are consistent with the employee’s classification, training, and applicable collective bargaining agreement. Medical Assistants are typically assigned to a primary department and may be assigned to support other departments as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations. Some Medical Assistants are hired into designated float roles to provide coverage across multiple departments. The home-department will be identified at the time of hire or transfer.

Required: For employees working in Nevada – current Nevada Laboratory Assistant license obtained within ninety-(90) days of employment within job classification.
Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS certification) which must be completed within three (3) months of hire.
