Job summary
Gundersen Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Emplify Health team in Onalaska, WI. The position offers a 0.6 FTE schedule (48 hours bi-weekly), with Monday through Friday shifts and no weekends or holidays.
Location includes the Onalaska Clinic and Winona Campus, with mileage reimbursement for travel to Winona every other week. You will greet patients, support providers, prepare exam rooms, update charts, and take vitals, contributing to high-quality care and a positive
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Practical Nursing, or Vocational Nurse program or eligible for NCLEX-PN
- BLS for healthcare workers required
- Medical Assistant Certification within 15 months of hire date
Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a warm, welcoming attitude and set the tone for appointments
- Assist providers in caring for patients with sports-related injuries
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with clinical procedures
- Update patient information in charting systems
- Take vitals
