Job summary

Dermatology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and maintain high-quality patient care across our Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland locations. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, collect patient information, and educate patients on treatment plans while upholding our core values.

Responsibilities include accurate patient intake, EMR documentation, HIPAA compliance, and timely handling of authorizations, appointments, and patient communications.

Qualifications

• Accurate patient intake with history and chief complaints.
• Document exams in the EMR system to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and ethical standards in patient care and documentation.
• Assist with medical procedures (sutures, local anesthetic, allergy test patches).

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate patient intake, including history and chief complaints, with integrity and attention to detail.
• Properly document exams in the EMR system to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Follow all medical regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and ethical standards in patient care and documentation.
• Assist with medical procedures such as removing sutures, administering local anesthetic, and applying allergy test patches.
• Complete prior authorizations and medication requests efficiently to support timely treatment.
• Schedule follow-up appointments with care and diligence, ensuring patients receive necessary ongoing treatment.
• Respond to patient messages within 24 hours to maintain a high standard of accessibility and responsiveness.
