Job summary

Northside Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety, and personal needs for patients. You will assist physicians and other clinicians in a fast-paced medical office setting.

The role requires 1 year of healthcare experience and AHA BLS certification, with occasional color acuity screening in certain units. Work hours are typically 8am–5pm with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician. Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
