Job summary

QualDerm Partners in New Albany, Ohio seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. You will support physicians, manage vital signs, and help with skincare treatment plans while maintaining patient confidentiality and exemplary care.

The role emphasizes accurate records, organized workflow, and patient education in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications include a high school diploma (MA certification preferred), experience in a clinical environment, and proficiency with EHR

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Experience as Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of dermatology terminology and practices.
  • Excellent communication and discretion with patient data.
  • Strong organizational skills and EHR/software fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting medical history.
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures with necessary instruments.
  • Perform basic lab tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and scheduling.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, meds, and skincare practices.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history
  • Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices
  • Ensure the examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software

Compensation Range:

$19.28 - $26.28 per hour. Final offer will be based on a combination of skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
