Job summary

Intermountain Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Utah Valley Clinic in Provo. You will support clinicians, gather patient information, and assist with visits to ensure high-quality care. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Required MA program completion or MA experience, plus BLS and Utah license options. EMR familiarity and a patient-first mindset are valued as part of our comprehensive care team.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year of MA work experience OR current active and in-good-standing RN/LPN license in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under clinician supervision and assist the provider during visits.
• Communicate clearly with patients in multiple modalities including in-person and telephone contacts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care and maintain attention to privacy and PHI.
