Job summary

Colorado Physician Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical services team in Colorado Springs. You will support patient care by preparing visits, maintaining exam rooms, and assisting during exams, while ensuring efficiency and a patient-friendly environment.

The role requires strong communication, basic computing skills, flexibility, and HIPAA awareness. English/Spanish bilingual abilities are a plus; a valid driver’s license is preferred. Open to rolling applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages is a plus.
• Valid State Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by reviewing and updating records with recent test results and correspondence.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms following infection control standards.
• Prepare patients for visits and notify the physician or mid-level provider when ready.
• Perform initial medical screening: greet patients, record vital signs, document medical history.
• Assist physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Restock supplies, manage inventory, and keep areas clean and orderly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare for Patient Visits: Review and update patient records before face-to-face or Telehealth appointments, ensuring all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date.
• Maintain Exam Rooms: Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards.
• Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen.
• Initial Medical Screening: Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately.
• Assist During Exams: Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations.
• Efficient Use of Time: Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately. High degree of diplomacy and tact.
• Technical Skills: Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments.
• Multi-tasking: Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working with diverse populations.
• Professionalism: Knowledge of “Universal Precautions” and adherence to HIPAA standards.

Salary Range:

Hourly Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00 hourly

Additional Compensation: Eligible for quarterly performance bonus based on individual and/or company performance
