Job summary

Advanced Pain Care is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Lamar clinic location. Travel to surrounding APC clinics may be required and mileage reimbursement will be provided.

The Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment under a physician or mid-level provider, helping patients with information, services and assistance. Duties include taking vital signs, preparing rooms, and maintaining records while ensuring a professional image and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years experience as Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts to exam room.
• Measures vital signs and records data.
• Verifies patient information and history.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examinations.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and accurate records.
• Assists with procedures and prepares specimens for analysis.
