Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinic operations. The role involves assisting with procedures, maintaining exam rooms, handling patient intake, and ensuring smooth daily workflows for providers and staff.

Qualifications include completion of a Medical Assistant program (preferred) and 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting. Licensure requirements include Basic Life Support (BCLS) and adherence to infection control

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and medical record systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional service to patients and staff.
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with non-invasive medical procedures and vital signs.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms before patient visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties, including reporting test results, triage, and documenting medical information.
• Maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Supports administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications.
• Maintains an organized workload and provides courteous, efficient service to providers, patients, and visitors.
