Job summary

Trinityhealth in Waterloo, IA seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN to support orthopedic surgery. The role supports physicians with patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic procedures.

Scheduling is 36 hours per week, day shift, Monday to Friday, with equal emphasis on clinical and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited MA program or an accredited LPN program with Iowa licensure, and MO certification/registration within one year

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration required within one year of hire.
• Or must have completed an accredited LPN program with Iowa licensure.

Description:

Position: Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN: Orthopedic Surgery
Location: Waterloo, IA
Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day shift, M-F

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Required:

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• OR
• Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.
