Job summary

Aurora BayCare Medical Center is seeking Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses to join the ambulatory care team in Green Bay. You will support providers, engage with patients, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7am and 6pm. Roles involve direct patient care, testing support, and documentation in the electronic health record, with opportunities to administer vaccines and assist during procedures.

Qualifications

• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years verifiable MA experience within last 5 years.
• LPN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.85- $32.80 for an MA or $24.10 - $36.15 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.

We’re Looking For

Licensure or Certifications

• LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
• MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.

Degrees

• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
• LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
• MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
• Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
• Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
• Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
• Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de‑escalation, if needed.
• May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
• Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
• Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
• Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
