Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time clinic role in Keene, NH. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 is available for qualified candidates.

The position supports direct patient care, chart review, and EMR updates, with hours Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, 40 hours per week. Requirements include certified Medical Assistant (NHA/AAMA/AMT) with CPR; excellent communication and organizational skills; 1 year experience for Flow/Phones track; benefits and total compensation

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification through NHA, AAMA or AMT and CPR certification; certification must be maintained for duration of employment.
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Medical Assistant Flow – no previous experience required; Medical Assistant Flow/Phones requires a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Review scheduled patients' medical records to verify reports are available for the provider.
• Update EMR with medical/surgical history, problem lists and medication reconciliation.
• Schedule appointments, enter orders and manage task lists.
• Perform pre-certifications for tests and procedures and notify denials.
• Complete required computer functions and health maintenance tasks.

Sign on bonus of up to $2,500.00 available for qualified candidates!

Under the supervision of a department manager or provider assumes responsibility for direct patient management and flow by the providing quality patient care to all patients. Review medical record of scheduled patients to verify that current lab, x-ray or procedure reports are available for provider and fill out forms required for appointment. Accurately performs required computer functions including but not limited to medication reconciliation, updating part medical and surgical history problem lists in the EMR, chronic health maintenance, scheduling of appointments including order entry, and management of task lists. Performs pre-certification for tests, procedures and specialty medications as required and notifies ordering department/provider of denials.

Requirements Current Medical Assistant Certification through NHA, AAMA or AMT and CPR certification; certification must be maintained for duration of employment.. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to relate well at all levels. Medical Assistant Flow-no previous experience required; Medical AssistantFlow/Phones requires a minimum of 1 year of experience.
