MemorialCare is seeking a Medical Assistant Front/Back Float Strategy & Initiative to support the Integration team across multiple sites. The role requires travel to assigned facilities and entails training and mentoring front office staff while delivering patient care under the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.

The position is full-time in Fountain Valley, CA with a day shift, a $24.01–$34.81/hour pay range, and a $2,500 signing bonus for external hires eligible to apply.

Qualifications

• One (1) year medical office and clinical experience in an ambulatory care environment required.
• Epic experience and knowledge.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Position Summary

The Strategic and Initiative Care Team FO-BO Float MA, reports to the Strategic and Initiatives Manager, supports the Integration team by executing responsibilities and processes relative to acquisitions, and other integration projects. The Coordinator receives oversight and mentorship from both the Director and the Practice Manager, with direct communication, partnership, service and accountability to the Integration Team. Responsible for the training and mentoring of all front office duties of all medical practices as assigned and/or supports clinical care team members with the delivery of patient care in accordance with Medical Assistant Scope of Practice while utilizing the five (5) Simply Better steps with every patient and team member interaction. This position requires travel to assigned sites, depending on project and departmental needs. While schedules are typically provided in advance, assignments and locations may change based on project priorities and operational needs.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
