Job summary

Gritman Medical Center, Inc. seeks a motivated Medical Assistant to float across Moscow and surrounding locations, performing patient intake, basic clinical duties, and documentation under provider supervision.

Responsibilities include lab testing, EKGs, vaccines, exams support, scribe tasks, vaccine reporting, and managing supplies in the EHR. A current BLS certification and strong communication, organization, and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• BLS certification currently active.
• Experience with computer in a medical office setting.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Patient intake and clinical care: prepare exam rooms, assist patients, document care details.
• Lab testing: perform CLIA-waived tests and venipuncture, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Diagnostic tests: conduct EKGs, vision and hearing screenings under provider guidance.
• Assist during exams and procedures: support providers, handle scribe duties, and assist with prior authorizations.
• Vaccines and incident reporting: administer vaccines per protocol, report incidents, ensure safe patient care.

Essential Functions:

• Patient Intake & Clinical Care: Prepare exam rooms, assist patients, and document care details.
• Lab Testing: Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and venipuncture, ensuring compliance and quality.
• Diagnostic Tests: Conduct EKGs, vision, and hearing screenings under provider guidance.
• Assist During Exams & Procedures: Support providers, perform medical scribe duties, and handle medication prior authorizations.
• Vaccines & Incident Reporting: Administer vaccines per protocol, report incidents, and ensure safe patient care.
• Inventory Control & EHR Management: Monitor supplies, manage electronic documents, and assist with office tasks.

Qualifications:

• Education: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, ongoing skills validation.
• Experience: Computer proficiency, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Skills: Exceptional customer service, communication, organizational skills, and teamwork.
