Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support across our patient care team. You will perform vitals, history taking, and assist with in-house procedures while maintaining patient flow and documentation.

We value credentials such as an accredited MA diploma or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification, BLS, and EPIC EMR experience. This on-site role supports patients at our Wallingford location with a supportive team and growth opportunities.

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 3 months (90 days) of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsabilidades

• Agents vitals, patient history, screenings and outside medication reconciliation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures and scheduling tasks.
• Performs administrative duties including chart prep, referrals, check-in/out and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.

Job Description

Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role.

Clinical/Administrative Duties Included But Not Limited To

• vitals, outside medication reconciliation, outside allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures as needed
• Provides administrative support including but not limited to scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.

Qualifications

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Experience

• In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
• Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
