Job summary

The Medical Assistant – Limited X‑Ray at GoHealth Urgent Care, Charlotte, NC, supports clinical and administrative operations in a fast‑paced urgent care environment. This role performs limited x‑ray procedures and helps manage patient flow under NC regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Graduate of Medical Assisting program (preferred).
• Medical Assistant experience required; X-ray experience preferred.
• BLS required; Limited Practice Radiographer certificate required.
• MA certifications CCMA, CMA, or NCMA are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited x-ray procedures for upper/lower extremities and chest.
• Position patients and follow radiation safety protocols.
• Notify medical providers of x-ray results in a timely manner.
• Register patients, verify insurance, schedule referrals.
• Prepare patients, collect histories, vitals, and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain EHR documentation and assist with front-desk duties.
