Job summary

Salud Family Health is seeking a Medical Support Associate Lead to supervise the patient care team and optimize the patient experience. The Lead will mentor staff and ensure efficient, high-quality care in a full-time, hourly position.

The role requires a Medical Assistant certification/registration; completion of a formal training program is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Formal Medical Assistant training program completed (minimum 6 months, preferred).
• Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred and required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the patient care team performing medical support duties.
• Mentor and train staff, motivate, and enable the assigned area to deliver effective patient care.
• Support a team-based approach that assists patients and families in self-management and behavior change.
• Perform vitals, maintain concise chart documentation, and keep a clean, organized work environment.

Medical Support Associate Lead

Full-time

TheMedical Assistant Lead will supervise the patient care team performing medical support duties that optimize the patient experience. Additionally, the Lead will mentor and train staff, motivate, and enable their assigned area to deliver the most effective and efficient patient care. The Lead approaches his/her duties in a team-based fashion that supports patients and their families in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change.

A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant with Salud:

Your genuine spirit of caring welcomes patients as the first step in treatment prior to seeing the Doctor, NP, or PA. You will determine the nature of the patient’s visit and obtain vitals. Your thorough and concise chart documentation will provide clear necessary communication. You will maintain a clean and organized environment for both patients and staff.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, a minimum of 6 months in length, preferred

Experience:

• Five years of experience working as a medical assistant preferred

Licensure:

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant

Medical Assistants not certified/registered upon hire are required to complete the Medical Assistant certification/registration testing within 3 months of hire. If an employee does not pass, they will be given an additional 3 months to retake the test. All Medical Assistants must be certified within 6 months of hire and certification must be maintained throughout employment.

Medical Assistants without any formal Medical Assistant training are required to have a current Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant.
