Midwest Express Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Chicago Lakeview team. The role focuses on patient care, clinic flow, and contributing to a positive patient experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

You will support providers during visits, perform routine procedures, and handle front-d desk tasks as needed. This position emphasizes reliability and a willingness to grow with the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and create a great first impression.
• Room patients, obtain vitals and medical history, document accurately in the EMR, and support providers during visits.
• Perform blood draws, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection as permitted.
• Register patients, verify insurance, answer phones, schedule visits, and collect payments.
• Keep documentation accurate and organized within the EMR.

The Role

The Medical Assistant is a key part of the patient experience and clinic flow. This role is ideal for someone who brings energy, loves helping people, and understands the importance of showing up ready to win the day.

What You’ll Own

Patient Care & Service

• Welcome patients warmly and create a great first impression
• Room patients, obtain vitals and medical history, document accurately within the EMR, and support providers during visits

Clinic Operations

• Register patients, support insurance verification, answer phones, schedule visits, and collect payments
• Keep documentation accurate and organized within the EMR

Compensation

The expected hourly range for this position is $20-22 depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
