Job summary

Akido is seeking passionate Medical Assistants to join our team in Pomona and surrounding clinics. You will perform vitals and patient intake, guide patients to exam rooms, and prep them for visits with physicians, NPs, or PAs.

You will assist during examinations, perform point-of-care tests and vaccine administration as ordered, and help patients understand their care plans to achieve the best outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role with multiple clinic locations in California.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certificate in California.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic office equipment and computer skills.
• Proven track record as punctual, collaborative and flexible team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform vitals and initial patient intake.
• Guide patients to exam rooms and prep for physician exams.
• Contribute to team development through rounds and huddles.
• Prepare for and assist during physician examinations.
• Perform basic point of care tests and vaccine administration when ordered by a provider.
• Help patients understand care plans and outcomes.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals and care coordination.
