Job summary

Advocate Medical Group Palos Hills is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team with clinical and administrative tasks. The role includes welcoming patients, taking vital signs, preparing for exams, and assisting providers during procedures.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant diploma or CMA with two years of MA experience; phlebotomy skills are a plus. Schedule is Mon-Fri with rotating Saturdays, working 40 hours per week at AMG locations in Illinois.

• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• As a Medical Assistant, support providers, connect with patients, and ensure a compassionate experience.
• Welcome patients and assist with transitions into care.
• Measure vital signs, take medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the EHR and coordinate with the care team.

Support the care team by performing clinical and administrative tasks that are vital to patient care. • Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.


• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.


• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
