ProMedica Multi Specialty Physicians is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work directly with patients and providers in Internal Medicine at Perrysburg. You will take vital signs, perform tests, and prepare schedules while upholding clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

You will communicate with patients and the health care team, answer calls, and relay messages. Leadership duties include serving as a resource for MA and Patient Service Coordinator teams. Full-time, days, on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized MA program or 1 year MA experience.
• Certification as Medical Assistant or active LPN/RN license; BLS current or obtained within 90 days.
• Experience in medical setting preferred; strong patient care and communication skills.

Responsabilités

Location:Perrysburg CommonsDepartment:Internal MedicineWeekly Hours:40Status:Full timeShift:Days (United States of America)Job Summary:As a Certified Medical Assistant at ProMedica, you will work directly with patients and providers to deliver clinical excellence and enhanced patient experience.You will prepare patients for visits by taking and documenting vital signs, performing specialized tests and preparing schedules. These tasks require following clinical protocols, regulatory requirements and standards.Communication is key in this role; you will interact with patients, peers and all members of the health care team. You will also apply your clinical knowledge when answering patient phone calls and relaying messages for providers or nurses.This position also requires leadership skills as you will act as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinator teams.The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university or worked 1 year as an MA to meet the requirements to become certified.Experience in the medical industry, including patient care or non-patient care roles. In lieu of experience, will accept continuing education in a healthcare related area of study.Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant through accredited body required; or active license from applicable state as an LPN/RN.BLS (CPR), must present a current BLS course card from the AHA at time of employment, or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS1 year experience in direct patient care.ProMedica is a mission-driven, not-for-profit health care organization headquartered in Toledo, Ohio.
