Independence Health System Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant for full-time work in the clinical setting.
The role involves direct patient care under supervision, assisting with examinations, collecting data, and performing clerical tasks to support the physician practice. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to infection control, and proactive communication with nurses and physicians.
**** FULL-TIME: $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS *****
The Medical Assistant performs basic direct patient care activities, such as lab tests, treatments, and medication/immunization administration. These are performed under the direction of the Nurse and/or the physician in preparation for the patient's examination and treatment. The incumbent carries out clerical activities, quality control activities, performance improvement initiatives, etc. in support of the physician practice as assigned. This position also serves as a resource for the clerical/clinical staff in the practice.

When lift requirement is in excess of 50#, lift assistance (2 person) and/or transfer device is required.
Essential – Absolute Necessity.
Marginal – Minimal Necessity.
Constantly – 5.5 to 8 hours or more or 200 reps/shift.
Frequently – 2.5 to 5.5 hours or more or 32-200 reps/shift.
Occasionally – 0.25 to 2.5 hours or 2-32 reps/shift.
Rarely – Less than 0.25 hours or less than 2 reps/shift.
