Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA) in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our on-site care team. You will provide essential patient support, room patients for exams, take vital signs, and assist with procedures to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Requirements include completing an accredited Medical Assistant program, WA MA-C certification, and a minimum of three years of MA experience with diverse patient ages; familiarity with EMR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C).
• At least 3 years of Medical Assistant experience with patients of all ages.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records.

Responsabilités

• Rooming patients and preparing them for exams and procedures.
• Taking vital signs, patient histories, and performing diagnostic testing.
• Administering immunizations and medications as directed.
• Performing phlebotomy, lab procedures, and limited x-rays (if certified).
• Supporting providers and nurses with patient care and workflow.
• Assisting with scheduling, documentation, and electronic medical records.
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms.
• Delivering compassionate, patient-focused service to every individual you support.
