East Georgia Medical & Surgical Associates in Statesboro, GA seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision. You’ll assist with exams, manage exam rooms, handle patient intake, and help maintain efficient clinic operations with excellent service to patients and staff.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred) and 0-1 years of experience or externship, with opportunities for professional growth and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with non-invasive medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before patient visits and clinical procedures
• Perform patient intake duties, including reporting test results and triage
• Review and maintain daily logs and documentation
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, referrals, insurance verification, clinic communications
• Maintain organized workload and provide prompt, courteous service to providers and patients
• Monitor and requisition supplies and equipment to ensure inventory and functionality
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics; address questions for understanding
• Perform other duties as assigned; maintain regular attendance and compliance with policies
