Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Northwest Primary Care clinic in Cortaro, Tucson. The position supports patient care under supervision, assists with procedures, maintains exam rooms, and ensures smooth clinic operations.

Key duties include patient intake, vital signs, appointment scheduling, referrals, and health education, with a focus on providing excellent service to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required

Responsabilités

• Assists with non-invasive procedures, including taking vital signs and patient preparation.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms before visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties, including report results, triage, and documenting medical information.
• Maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Pre-registers patients, schedules appointments, coordinates referrals, and verifies insurance eligibility.
• Ensures organized workload with courteous, efficient service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Monitors supplies and equipment and maintains inventory levels.
• Educates patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
