Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Medical Assistant with responsibility for leading MA I/II in a multi-physician clinic. The role supports patient care, prepares rooms, manages patient flow and coordinates exams, tests and results.
Minimum high school diploma required; three years related experience and CMA/CCMA or equivalent credentials preferred. This on-site position offers full-time hours and a dynamic clinical environment.
May lead the work of Medical Assistants I and II in the clinical operation of a patient care setting and/or acts as the primary clinical resource in a large multi-physician clinical practice. Functions as a Medical Assistant in the department, prepares and maintains exam rooms, prepares charts, obtains reports and records; directs patient flow and ensures the overall smooth running of the clinical office.

Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with three years of related work experience (examples of related fields include military medic, emergency medical technicians, Nurse’s Aide, physical therapy and nurse technicians, and certified athletic trainers). Medical Assistant credentials must be obtained from in-person proctored exams from the following certifying bodies: NHA, AAMA or AMT. In-person proctored credentials from other certifying bodies may be accepted upon approval from Human Resources. Substitutions include:
