Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with medical training through a certificate program or at least 2 years experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
• Understanding of Medical Terminology required.
• Experience in areas such as LPN, Lab, Radiology, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Physician Office, Scrub Tech preferred.
• CMA or RMA preferred, BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in a prompt and professional manner.
• Assist in delivery of patient education and communication of patient information to/from physician.
• Scrub on surgical procedures and follow aseptic technique and sterilization principles.
• Perform tasks such as care of instruments, supplies, sutures, needles, and basic equipment; stock, clean and inventory.
• Schedule all surgical and endoscopy cases for practice physicians.
