Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support patient care in outpatient and ambulatory settings in Ohio. The role includes patient intake, assisting with routine procedures, and documenting care to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and completed Medical Assistant training, with BLS and relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution or equivalent experience as allowed by state law.
• Typically two (2) years of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar clinical support role.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (e.g., AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA) or equivalent credential as recognized by Kettering Health.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
