Job summary

Dartmouth Health in Nashua, NH is seeking an outpatient Medical Assistant to perform vital signs, injections, specimen collection, and room preparation in a fast-paced clinic. You will greet patients, prepare rooms, and support providers throughout exams, tests, and procedures.

Responsibilities include patient check-in, record keeping, specimen handling, and assisting with insurance forms. Evening and weekend coverage may be required; strong teamwork and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Willing and able to cover evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets, checks in patients, and notifies the provider.
• Takes and records vital signs and informs the provider of concerns.
• Assists emergency patients and supports examinations and treatments.
• Schedules appointments and coordinates with medical professionals.
• Registers new patients and maintains medical records.
• Prepares patient billings and assists with insurance forms.
• Operates and maintains clinical equipment and aseptic technique.
• Collects and processes laboratory specimens.
