Job summary

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a Medical Assistant II in Austin, TX. The MA provides clinical and administrative support in outpatient and hospital settings, ensuring efficient patient flow and accurate documentation in the EHR.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year experience in physician's office, clinic, or hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient intakes including vitals, med history, and allergies.
• Assist providers during examinations, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testing.

• Prepare, label, and process lab samples and point-of-care tests.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and equipment calibration.

The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate clinical and administrative support to physicians, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals in both outpatient and hospital-based settings.
