Job summary

Providence Levelland is seeking an Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) to assist licensed practitioners with basic patient care, in both administrative and clinical tasks, adhering to policy and safety standards.

The role requires completing a medical assisting program or equivalent, with hands-on clinical training, a valid BLS, and the ability to obtain vital signs, injections, and medication administration under supervision. On-site role with Providence benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduates from a program that includes hands-on clinical training for medical assistants
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
• Two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or equivalent
• Minimum one year of MA-related clinical work (vital signs, injections, meds)
• National Provider BLS – AHA within 30 days of hire
• Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification
• Preferred: 6 months in customer service in fast-paced environment
• Preferred: 6 months experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
