ChristianaCare's Swank Center for Memory Care in Wilmington, DE is seeking a professional Medical Assistant I to support physicians both virtually and on-site, performing basic clinical tasks and clerical duties.

This role partners with geriatrics, neurology, and psychiatry teams to deliver compassionate care for memory-related conditions, with a schedule Monday to Friday and occasional cross-coverage to Smyrna.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant Program or CMA/RMA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and supports patients virtually and on-site.
• Prepares patients for visits and performs basic clinical tasks (testing, injections and EKGs).
• Manages EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations and scheduling; handles clerical duties and video visits.

The Swank Center for Memory Care offers expert, compassionate support for patients experiencing memory loss. Our multidisciplinary team-specializing in geriatrics, geriatric psychiatry, and neurology-provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment while partnering closely with patients and their families. Through a holistic approach, we address both the mental and physical needs of those affected by dementia, serving communities across Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

As a Medical Assistant I, you support physicians in virtual and on-site patient care, performing essential clinical and clerical duties to ensure quality care.

• Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30/5:00pm

• Cross coverage to Smyrna on occasion

Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.48 - $28.24This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
