Job summary

MyCHN (Community Health Network) in Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a patient-centered care team serving the Greater Houston area. You will support providers, perform basic clinical tasks, and help ensure high-quality, coordinated care for underserved communities.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or diploma.
• 1 year of experience (healthcare preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• A patient-focused mindset with a passion for community health.
• Preferred: bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document vitals, patient history, and screenings
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
• Conduct in-house testing (Flu, Strep, COVID, etc.)
• Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments
• Coordinate referrals, prescription refills, and follow-up visits
• Educate patients and support adherence to care plans
