  • Basic familiarity with computers and navigating web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and room patients for Hematology and Oncology appointments.
  • Obtain and document accurate vital signs, height, and weight.
  • Review and update medication and allergy lists.
  • Complete thorough medication reconciliation for patients with complex regimens.
  • Perform phlebotomy and other MA duties under supervision.
  • Queue prescription renewals and enter orders as directed by a provider.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms.
  • Support patient safety, confidentiality, and OSHA compliance.

Patients may be receiving care for:CancerIron deficiency, including iron deficiency during pregnancyBlood clotting concerns and DVT or pulmonary embolism follow-upOther blood disordersThe clinic may see approximately 40–50 patients on a busy day.
