Lifepoint Health's Harris Regional Medical Center in Sylva, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant for a float role. The position supports multiple physician practices with travel among Harris, Haywood, Franklin or Swain locations, providing essential patient assessments, specimen collection and administrative duties.

As a PRN position with a 3-day weekly average, this role requires a high school diploma, BLS within 90 days, and strong clinical and organizational skills to ensure continuous patient

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Previous medical office experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under provider supervision.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection; monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Document patient care provided.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Maintain equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Complete other tasks as delegated by practice leads, supervisors, managers or Market Director.

Join our team of healthcare professionals in an office that provides comprehensive care services to patients of all ages. These services include routine checkups, illness management, preventative care, and minor procedures. This role will be a float position to travel and cover Physician Practices in need including Harris/Haywood /Franklin or Swain locations. Travel reimbursement eligible.

How you'll contribute

• Under the supervision of provider, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communication regarding changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.

• Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the practice leads, supervisors, managers or Market Director.

What we're looking for
