Job summary

Advanced Womens Health And Surgery is seeking a Medical Assistant to support two doctors, prepare charts, pull notes, assist with tests and lab reporting to keep patient care on schedule. You will manage medical supplies, set up machines, and clean instruments to maintain a ready clinical environment.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, an interest in learning a working medical environment, and prior office experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by pulling charts and setting up medical equipment.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use.
• Answer patient questions and identify visit needs.
• Assist physicians with basic medical care and procedures.
• Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle office duties.
• Manage patient records in EPIC
• Take and record patient vitals
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Set up treatment rooms and trays
• Handle prior-authorizations
• Follow up on messages from insurers, patients and pharmacies
