Job summary

Munson Healthcare in Petoskey, MI is seeking a Clinic Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks in our fast-paced outpatient setting. You will be the first point of patient contact, room and prepare patients, measure vitals, perform routine duties, and help document medical histories and referrals.

A credentialed MA or graduate of a Munson-approved program is required, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Complete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic, assisting the provider to ensure patient care and smooth operations.
• Be the first point of patient care within the clinic; room and prepare patients according to clinic checklists or procedures.
• Measure patient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Complete required patient care documentation including medical histories and referral requests.
• Assist with day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care.
