Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a full-time clinical assistant/support role. The position involves organizing test results, preparing specimens, maintaining exam areas, and assisting with patient procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1+ year of experience preferred. A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required as part of the duties.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and reviews incoming test results and forwards them to the physician, tracking impending test results and following up with patients as needed.
• Performs tests and prepares specimens for outside lab testing as ordered by the physician.
• Maintains examination rooms and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Manages inventory of clinical supplies, bio-hazardous waste, and sample medications, ensuring proper labeling, disposal, and sterilization of instruments.
• Prepares and assists patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintains medication and immunization records.
• Schedules inpatient/outpatient admissions and procedures, providing cross-training and relief for other staff members as needed.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patients using established guidelines.

Job Description

Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible applicants

Location

11 Salt Creek Lane, Suite 101, Hinsdale, IL (may travel to clinic in Bolingbrook)

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:30a-5p

• Performs tests and prepares specimens for outside lab testing as ordered by the physician.
• Maintains examination rooms and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
