Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Gastroenterology department. The role focuses on providing basic patient care under supervision, while supporting unit operations and clerical tasks onsite.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years in customer-facing roles, and MA certification options (CMA/RMA/NRCMA). Starting pay is $20.27/hr with on-site work and vaccine requirements for employment.

Overview

Medical Assistants provide basic, uncomplicated patient care and assist with unit/department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager or Resource Manager assigned to supervise the Care Assistant and in accordance with this job description.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $20.27/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
