Job summary

Epiphany Dermatology invites recent graduates to join its Gap Year Program to gain clinical experience before applying to medical, PA, or NP school. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside our Board Certified Dermatologists to support patient care and learn hands-on skills.

This fast-paced setting offers opportunities to assist during procedures, take detailed visit notes, manage supplies, and contribute to a positive team culture while expanding access to care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree completed and awaiting PA/NP/medical school acceptance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best patient experience—from welcoming patients to answering care-related questions.
• Assist during procedures, capture detailed visit notes, fulfill prescription orders, and support a smooth appointment.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and exam room flow to help the clinic run efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Provide the best patient experience - from warmly welcoming patients and prepping them for their visit to thoughtfully answering their care-related questions.
• Act as the right hand to the provider, supporting hands-on patient care by assisting during procedures, capturing detailed visit notes, fulfilling prescription orders, doing anything else needed to ensure the appointment is as smooth and complete as possible.
• Keep the clinic running smoothly by staying on top of managing supplies, maintaining equipment, understanding the flow of exam rooms, and finding fun, creative ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
• Be a reliable teammate by jumping in to help, keeping things organized, and contributing to a positive, supportive environment.

Qualifications/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree (and awaiting acceptance to PA, NP, or medical school).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction. We will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
