Job summary

Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers with patient examinations, procedures and care coordination. You will record vitals, assist with venipuncture and basic imaging, and help maintain accurate medical records in the EMR.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and at least one year of clinical experience preferred. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year of related clinical patient care experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communications.
• Understanding of healthcare delivery processes in the medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and assesses their needs with sensitivity to condition.
• Records vital signs, chief complaint, medications and social history in the medical record.
• Assists providers during examinations, procedures and treatments per protocols.
• Performs venipuncture and basic imaging per protocol.
• Maintains medical records, charts and test results; coordinates care via messages and scheduling.
• Utilizes EMR to document, order tests and track referrals; administers medications as directed.
