Unity Health in Searcy, Arkansas, is seeking a qualified candidate for a medical role focused on patient preparation and assisting physicians. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests, educating patients, and maintaining equipment while coordinating with various agencies.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of medical office experience, preferably in a clinical setting, and be skilled in communication and teamwork. Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
In the interest of protecting the health and safety of all patients, associates, and guests, Unity Health has classified some positions as “safety sensitive.” A “safety sensitive” position is any job position in which impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others. Any associate that is actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even if in possession of a valid medical marijuana card, will be excluded from employment in a “safety sensitive” position.
This individual is responsible for patient preparation and assisting the physician with procedures and minor surgeries. The role also includes performing various diagnostic tests and patient education in the clinic. The candidate must maintain equipment and act as a liaison between the physician and all outside agencies, including hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, and other physicians’ offices, as well as communication with patients. The role supports other medical staff members as necessary to maintain patient flow.
