Job summary

Doctors Urgent Care Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. You will help with patient registration, vitals, basic procedures, and point-of-care testing, while ensuring smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate is proficient with EMR, capable of venipuncture and injections, and committed to compassionate, patient-focused service in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• Experience using EMR and handling patient registrations.
• Ability to verify insurance and collect appropriate information.
• Competence in taking vitals and basic nursing duties.
• Skills in performing EKGs and venipuncture under supervision.
• Familiarity with in-office testing and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care and clinic flow.
• Conduct in-office tests and specimen collection for labs.
• Support venipuncture, injections, and minor procedures.
• Maintain sterilization, infection control and room readiness.
