Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC in San Jose, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for an in-person, 3-month role with potential extension or full-time hire. Workdays are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, and pay is $23-$28/hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include front and back-office duties such as patient registration, insurance verification, vital signs, patient intake, exam preparation, ECG, specimen collection, venipuncture and injections, charting, and supply management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• 2+ years related experience.
• Medical Assistant certification.
• BLS certification (or within 30 days).
• Proficiency in medical systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
• Excellent customer service, reliable attendance, and English language skills; bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Vietnamese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance.
• Record vital signs and patient intake.
• Prepare exams and assist with front/back-office duties.
• Perform clinical tasks: ECG, specimen collection, venipuncture, injections.
• Charting and supply management.
• Provide patient education and assist with records, scheduling, refills, and resolving minor issues.
