Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health in Nashua, NH seeks a Float Pool Medical Assistant to provide clinical support across multiple Foundation Medical Partners practices within Southern New Hampshire Health. This role suits a flexible, team-oriented professional who thrives in diverse clinical settings.

The MA works with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care, performing vital signs, exams, and patient education across locations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and visit information.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing within scope of practice.
• Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens.
• Triage patient concerns and communicate information to providers as appropriate.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate referrals, preventive screenings, and other patient follow-up activities.
• Assist with prescription refill requests and routine clinical support duties.
• Maintain examination rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Adapt to varying clinical environments and workflows across multiple practice locations.

Position Summary

The Float Pool Medical Assistant provides clinical support across multiple Foundation Medical Partners practices throughout Southern New Hampshire. Qualifications

Experience

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Previous ambulatory care, primary care, family medicine, or multi-specialty practice experience preferred.

Certifications

• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT preferred.

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical office workflows.
• Ability to obtain vital signs, collect specimens, and accurately document patient information.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel and work across multiple practice locations.
• Basic computer skills required; Epic experience preferred.
