Job summary

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is hiring a Float Medical Assistant to support patient intake, specimen collection, and point‑of‑care testing across multiple NYC locations (Babylon, Bethpage, RVC, Valley Stream, Islip, Patchogue).

The role requires a High School Diploma, MA certification, and BLS. Expect 5/8.5 hour shifts, Monday–Friday, with duties across LIS/EMR systems and lab support.

Qualifications

• Outpatient care or lab experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with EMR/LIS systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes and record vital signs and medical history.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and rapid tests with proper labeling.
