Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners Summerlin (Buffalo) – Las Vegas, NV 89144 seeks a Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced dermatology clinics. You will escort patients, document histories, assist physicians with scribing, set up biopsies and cosmetic procedures, and manage labs and room readiness.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in a medical office, dermatology/cosmetic experience preferred, strong communication, and organizational skills, plus a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Good phone etiquette.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and follow the provider’s instructions.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
