Qualifications

• Certification of completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) is REQUIRED.
• CMA certification and Hospital Corpsman (HM) experience are PREFERRED

Responsibilities

• Assists patients, staff and physicians to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population.
• Administers medications safely and accurately per guidelines and written order; document all administrations with two patient identifiers.
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures and obtain informed consent when required; coordinate with physicians and staff as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk responsibilities in partnership with the physician; follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Participate in department inventories, readiness for site inspections, and other staffing needs as required.
